After hearing from a neighbor that they insulated their garage door themselves, we decided to give it a try. We bought the reflective backing, some insulation (which was conveniently cut into strips the same width as the panels, which is weird) and aluminum tape.

The aluminum tape doesn’t work super well and we’re replacing it with duct tape. But the rest of it worked pretty well. I don’t know what impact it’s having on the garage temperature, but it definitely makes me feel better.
